Retrospect and Projection Scripture References Luke 11 & Mathew 6 By Pastor Gary Tussey $25,000.00 dollars a month. That is the type of income that Julie and I were grossing through our construction business until February of 06. With this kind of income we have lived and funded the works of the ministry for many years. Since then, nearly a year now our income from construction has absolutely failed. Since a boy I have been preaching the Gospel of Jesus and building or remodeling just about anything you can imagine. Through inward witness and some confirming circumstantial events, a major change for us is at hand. I need to share some of this with you. Since receiving my call into the ministry at the age of 17, nearly 30 years ago the confirmation of my utilizing every available media outlet to proclaim the Gospel of Jesus has constantly been in the very core of my existence. Many things that have been a hidden desire of my heart have manifested through great hardship in the past year. For many years a great desire of my heart has been to conduct open-air meetings with tremendous music and blazing high energy encouraging words of the Gospel of Jesus. I have done this off and on through out the years but I have sensed the Lord instructing me to organize this effort and to stay busy with it. As I would seek Him concerning this He would place things in my heart and then confirm them with wonderful natural events. I need to share these things with you. As you know I have played piano for years. Not just play it, heaven is open to me and as a gift I “play the piano“. As Julie and I were conducting a meeting about 18 months ago, a precious sister saw fit after the meeting to inform me that at the moment the Lord is using guitar not piano as His instrument of choice. Some of you may know sisters like that. Well any way after I challenged that in my mind for about a day, I simply said to myself “okay we’d see if the Lord is using guitar”. You see my first instrument was guitar at 8 years old, but I never pursued it as I did piano, because heaven opened to me on piano. But I love guitar. So if in deed the Lord is doing something you can rest assured Gary Tussey will be right in the middle of it. Not knowing the impending financial devastation ahead of me, Julie and spent a lot of money on an electric hollow body Gretsch guitar and a Fender Twin reverb amplifier, confident that if the Jesus is using guitar He will open Heaven to me and I will play guitar as I play piano. For more on that subject you have got to get your copy of “Hillbilly Praise! Vol. 1” inspired by the roots of American praise. One of my hidden petitions in prayer has been to play the guitar with enough excellence that I may accompany my wife as she sings absolutely anything. I didn’t even tell Julie about this until after it manifested. Another hidden petition has been to possess a flat bed trailer beautifully decorated and equipped to accommodate open air Gospel meetings. Sounds easy enough just go buy one. Not so easy when the finance just in not there but the call is. In order to at least feed my family this past summer I worked for a painter who, sure enough had someone already working for him that was about to mightily be used of the Holy Ghost and not even realize if. Corey doesn’t have any use for Jesus but even though he is really hard around the edges he has some true inner passion. And it happened to be very compatible with mine. He is an awesome guitar player. Such timing! So we talk about guitars, pick-ups, amps, tablature, blues, Stevie Ray Vaughn, B. B. King, Otis Rush, Susan Tedushi. I learned so much about guitar just in conversation with this 30-year-old rocker; I will glean from it for years to come. So one day he asks me about me about my preaching. He knew that it was unusual for a man of the cloth to know so much about the blues and blues artist. So I told him of my plans to do open air Gospel meetings from top of a flat bed trailer using absolute excellent guitar and R & B as a vehicle. His exact words to me are, “Dude do you have a trailer”. I reply, “No”. He responds, “Dude I have one I will give you, just come get it”. Long story short. He obeyed a mandate from Heaven without even knowing it. And I took him up on it. So now I have seen the Lord provide the guitar excellence, the trailer, the music and the word to take this message to the open air in the spring of 2007. But I need your help to do it. I have got to remodel this trailer quickly. I can build buildings of thousands of sq. ft. but I know nothing of refurbishing a trailer. I need three things 1, a place to work on the trailer 2,Someone with expertise in this type of work and 3, Some money to get it done. If you can help with any of these the Lord has specific need for you. Considering these things that I have shared with you and many other things that I will share in the near future. I know that I must apply full time effort to the Declaration of the Gospel of Jesus Christ, His death, burial and resurrection to our generation. So I am receiving an offering now. Although we have so many ministry needs as I have just mentioned this offering is for the immediate need of feeding, clothing and sheltering my family. I am pouring my heart out to you in that I will always obey the witness in my heart at all cost. In doing so as an instrument obedient to the five-fold ministry of Jesus, that alone will meet my need and advance the Kingdom.
